Celebration of Gandiji JayanthiICAR-JSS Krishi Vigyan Kendra Suttur and JSS education trust Suttur jointly celebrated Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanthi,World Senior Citizen Dayon 2nd October 2021 at JSS education trust Suttur. The invited chief guest Shri K.L. Revannaswamy, Joint Director of General Development department in JSS Mahavidyapeetha Mysuru has given speech on Mahatma Gandhiji early life and his nonviolence movement for independence and explained about life of 2nd prime minister of India, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri. Shri K.L. Revannaswamy given speech on senior citizens has lot of experience of life, hence they should give advice to youngsters and to society whenever they need. In this program JSS institution Suttur Administrative Office Shri S.P. Udaya Shankar, offcials, staff members and students were participated in the programme. |
Celebration World Food DayCelebration of World Womens’ Day and World Food day at Institute of In collaboration of Arusu Mahila Jagruthi Sabha Trust, Mysuru and JSS Jana Shikshana Samsthan, Mysuru at Institute of Engineers, JLB Road, Mysuru. More than 61 farm women have witnessed the programme and participated in the value additon of banana compitition. During the event progressive farm women Smt. Swarropara Rani have been felicitated. |

Programme on Farm Waste ManagementOn 12 October 2021, farmers were given training on technologies such as decomposition of fertilizers and land fills from farm waste, with the mission of Cleaning Movement of Government of India at Sonahalli, Nanjangud Taluk. During the programme Sri. Shamaraj, agronomist, Dr. U.M. Rakshit Raj, animal scientist, Smt. Netravati Yettinamani, home scientist and Sri. J.G. Rajanna, Programme Assistant (Soil Science) were participated in the programme. More than 30 farmers and farmwomen were participated. |
Training programme on INM and IPM on BananaThe training programme on Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in Banana has been conducted on 22 October 2021 at Magudilu, H.D. Kote taluk. Sri. Shamaraj, Agronomist and Dr. G.M. Vinay were taught about INM and IPN practicies in Banana. More than 30 farmers have participated in the programme. |

Workshop at KVKOne day workshp on Energy Efficient Pumpsets and Water Conservation in collboration with Karnataka Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited, Govt. of Karnataka at Suttur. The resoruce person Sri. G.H. Yogesh gave information on soil and water conservation. Shri. M. Dinesh Kumar, Technical officer, Karnataka Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited spoke to farmers on a subsidized basis with a farm pump set and solar panel. 29th SAC MeetingJSSKVK conducted 29th SAC meeting on 15th November 2021 at Farmers hostel trainng hall. In this meeting, the staff of the JSSKVK presented the JSSKVK progress report for the 2021. The Dr. C.G. Betsurmatha, Executive Secretary of the JSS Mahavidyapeeta, Dr. V. Venkatasubramanian, Director, ICAR ATARI, Bengaluru, N. Devanakumar, Director of Extension, University of Agricultural Sciences, Shri. M. Sivasankarappa, Direcor (Horticulture), JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru, progressive farmers, farmwomen and various department officials participated online and offline. |

Agriculture and Environment: The Citizen FaceTraining programme on Agriculture and Environment: The Citizen Face on 26.11.2021 under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. 60 children of JSS High School in the surrounding area were participanted in the programme. Smt. H.V. Divya, Senior Scientist and Head of JSS KVK, gave information about agriculture to the school children. 23 children participated in the painting competition organized on agriculture and ancillary activities and prizes were distributed to the winners. |

Agriculture and Environment: The Citizen FaceAn 5th International Agronomia Conference held at Hydarabad during 23-27 November 2021. In the conference Dr. Arun Dharamtti and Shri Shamaraj, an agronomist, have been awarded the Best Article Award for their research on 'Integrated Farming Practices'. Mr. Shamaraj, agronomist of the JSS KVK participated in the conference and receive the award. |
